Craig Smith is an accomplished painter, illustrator and cameraman who devotes his skills to capturing the essence and action of sportfishing in it’s various aspects.

Based in Cairns on Australia’s Far North Eastern coast - the home of the giant black marlin - Craig is ideally situated to spend much of his time on the sea, both on the Great Barrier Reef and at various locations around the world’s oceans and rivers. He regularly attends tournaments around Australia, Papua New Guinea, Mexico and Central and North America.

Originally graduating from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand with a Diploma of Fine Arts in graphic design, photography and film-making, Craig undertakes a diverse variety of tasks including scientific taxonomical studies, original paintings, promotional art, cartoons, still photography and video productions.
